what is sofxle?
SOFXLE is a resilience and performance training system built specifically for law enforcement professionals. Drawing from elite military performance principles, leadership development, stress inoculation, and performance psychology, SOFxLE helps agencies strengthen the officer before the critical incident occurs—not after.
The focus is not simply surviving stress, but developing professionals capable of sustained operational performance, sound decision-making, emotional regulation, leadership, and long-term resilience under pressure.

core training pillars

1
PERFORMANCE UNDER PRESSURE
Developing the ability to remain composed, focused, and decisive in high-stress operational environments. Training emphasizes emotional regulation, attentional control, and effective decision-making when cognitive load, uncertainty, and pressure are elevated.
2
OPERATIONAL RESILIENCE
Building the psychological and physiological capacity to withstand chronic operational stress while maintaining effectiveness over time. Focus areas include stress exposure, recovery practices, nervous system regulation, and resilience development before performance degradation occurs.
3
LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
Cultivating leaders capable of influencing culture through accountability, communication, composure, and character under pressure. Emphasis is placed on trust, decision-making, interpersonal leadership, and the ability to stabilize teams during challenging circumstances.
4
SUSTAINABLE PERFORMANCE
Supporting long-term operational effectiveness by addressing the cumulative effects of chronic stress, hypervigilance, fatigue, and burnout. The goal is to help professionals sustain high performance without sacrificing identity, well-being, or leadership capacity over time.
5
MENTAL HEALTH LITERACY
Improving awareness and understanding of how operational stress impacts cognition, behavior, emotional regulation, relationships, and overall functioning. Training helps officers and teams recognize early indicators of psychological strain in themselves and others while promoting proactive support, communication, and resource utilization.
6
TEAM & CULTURE DEVELOPMENT
Strengthening organizational culture through shared standards, peer accountability, communication, and resilience-oriented leadership. Focus is placed on building cohesive teams capable of supporting operational performance, trust, and long-term wellness from leadership downward.

WHAT MAKES SOFXLE DIFFERENT?
Developed alongside elite military perspectives
Green Berets. Navy SEALs. Army Rangers. 82nd Airborne Paratroopers. Over a decade of research into what makes them tick, and how they build resilience practices into their definition of performance, is what informs our approach.
Performance Psychology Informed
Elite performance going hand-in-hand with mental wellness and resilience is the next frontier of performance. SOFXLE methodology is utilized within the highest levels of athletics at Team USA as today's high performers demand an integration of performance and wellbeing.
Grounded in reality
We keep things real and brutally honest. While SOFXLE training is grounded in performance science and psychology, it’s delivered through Doc Atalanta's lens as a former All-American collegiate athlete and active MMA practitioner—not just an academic. The result feels less like a college classroom and more like a no B.S. conversation in the team room.
